On October 12th, the Macquarie University Applied Finance Society ran its event ‘The R Revolution with Michael Garcia’, which explored how the R software suite is being implemented in the business world.

This event was run by Michael Garcia, who is a Lead Analyst at the Reserve Bank of Australia – who emphasised the importance of learning R to become more employable. Michael ran through the typical process of using R, as well as leaving valuable course resources for attendees to do in their own time.
