On July 31st, the Macquarie University Applied Finance Society hosted its first event for Semester 2 - The AFS Social!

The event began with the President of the Applied Finance Society, Yilmaz Ersoy giving a presentation about the AFS as well as introducing the executive team. He then outlined what the AFS plans to offer its members for the rest of 2024 and some of the main strategic objectives the AFS aims to achieve.

After the presentation, attendees headed to UBar for some socialising and networking. The Applied Finance Society’s executives thoroughly enjoyed chatting and learning more about our new members. We want to thank everyone that came down, and all of our members for making this event so special. We look forward to seeing you around at our events this semester!
