After plenty of planning and work behind the scenes during the first half of the year, the Applied Finance Society held its first-ever event.

During this event, the Applied Finance Society’s executives introduced themselves as well as the main objectives of the Applied Finance Society and revealed their events timeline for Semester 2 2023.

After the short presentation, a networking session was held at UBar where interested attendees were able to converse and socialize with other members, academics and the AFS Executive Team.

This event was a tremendous success, with many members making the trip out to Macquarie University on a Friday night, which marked the start of a busy semester for the AFS!
